This work was made during the Covid pandemic when many of us were retreating inward. I wanted to investigate contemporary solitude and my own contradictory feelings about solitude and about the role of technology in shaping social life. While technology has shortened our experiences of time and duration, the challenges that we face demand a longer view.
I'm interested in how solitude impacts the perception of time, duration and sequence. This piece evolves at a pace just below the threshold of perceptible motion.
